JURASSIC PARK - Why celebrate the spookiest time of the year for only 13 nights when you can celebrate for 31!? Freeform has expanded their annual Halloween programming event to "31 Nights of Halloween" bringing more thrills and chills to the entire month. From Oct. 1, the network will be invaded by everyoneÕs favorite witches, a murderous barber, out of control dinosaurs and everything else that goes bump in the night. TV viewers know how Prime Video boasts a huge selection of movies. However, it’s overlooked how the Freevee service has its own good selection. You don’t need to be a Prime subscriber to watch them and though is a downside in having to put up with ads.

However, if you can handle that, then Freevee has some amazing selections for movie buffs. It can change month to month with films being added and removed but there are some great ones to check out for free. Here are 15 of the best films you can watch on Freevee to show how this service deserves more attention.

Just in time for its 30th anniversary, enjoy a return to Steven Spielberg’s smash hit that became a phenomenon. The CGI dinosaurs still hold up along with the John Williams music, great cast, and wild thrills. It all combines into the perfect summer blockbuster that remains a great flick. The following sequels (including Jurassic World) are also on Freeveee, but the first trip to the Park remains the best three decades later.

Over 40 years later, this is still one of the best high school movies ever. The trials and tribulations of the cast (including Sean Penn) come in sharp humor, great music and some iconic lines and moments (such as Phoebe Cates’ infamous pool scene). Not only does it still hold up, but it even seems better for today’s world and remains a great watch no matter how far out of high school you are.

Bryan Singer’s modern noir storyline has an irresistible hook. Five random crooks are picked from a police lineup and, afterward, form a gang. Their antics somehow gain the interest of mysterious crime boss Keyser Soze, putting them in danger. The whole thing is told by Verbal Kint (Kevin Spacey in an Oscar-winning performance), who lays out a tale packed with sinister twists and turns. The topper is one of the greatest twist endings in movie history that solidifies it as an amazing film.

While not as big a deal as it once was, this 1999 surprise smash still can be a movie that’s scary when watched on a dark night. Everyone knows the story as a trio of students heads into the woods to do a film about a supposed witch only to find something worse. The non-actors manage to elevate it as it’s what you don’t see that scares you more. The progenitor of the “found footage” movie still outdoes its scores of imitators.

Every now and then, someone comes up with an idea you’re amazed hasn’t been used before. It looks like a typical setup, as Kathryn Newton is a young woman hunted by Vince Vaughn’s serial killer. But it takes a wild turn when a magical dagger causes them to swap bodies. Vaughn is terrific as a teen girl in an older man’s body, while Newton is wicked as the killer using “her” new form to hunt classmates. Packed with dark comedy and some nice kill scenes, it’s one of the smarter genre mash-ups you’ll find.

“Mrs. Robinson, you’re trying to seduce me.” In the debut role that made him a star, Dustin Hoffman is the college-aged man whose relationship with Katherine Ross is undermined by being tempted by her mother (Anne Bancroft). The screenplay is a gem, along with Mike Nichols’ Oscar-winning direction. Combine that with some great music and a fun ending and it’s still a crowd-pleaser with its forbidden romance and a top film of the 1960s.

It’s hard to believe Hugh Grant was once an unknown, but few knew him before this 1994 international smash hit. Grant’s boyish charms serve the film revolving around the title events as he romances Andi McDowell. Backing him is a fantastic supporting cast from Kristen Scott Thomas to John Hannah. The film gets laughs but also tears for the funeral segment with iconic moments like the kiss in the rain and a showcase for how Grant became a star.

You expect quirkiness from the Coen Brothers, but they outdid themselves with this take on “The Odyssey” set in the 1930s. George Clooney, John Turturro, and Tim Blake Nelson are a trio of convicts escaping prison and trying to get back home. They get into a variety of escapades, from three steamy sirens to becoming a band. The lively folk music, intriguing side characters and the usual Coen dark humor make this a great showcase for why the Coens are in a class of their own.

Also celebrating its 30th anniversary is this wild Western telling the story of Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) facing a deadly gang of outlaws. The highlight is Val Kilmer’s amazing take on Doc Holiday, a man who can nail a target easily, even when drunk. There’s also Powers Boothe, whose performance creates a popular meme alongside some other recognizable faces. The action is astounding, leading into the final gunfight at the O.K. Corral. It’s amazing to realize Disney made one of the best Westerns ever.

It’s an idea that sounds so dumb on paper: An FBI agent goes undercover in a pack of surfers he suspects are bank robbers. But it works thanks to the performances of Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, firing off lines while skydiving, surfing, and in gun battles. It’s a crazy plotline, yet the two leads make it a total blast and still a classic “guilty pleasure” action film.

Leonardo DiCaprio finally nabbed his overdue Oscar for this 2015 film which also earned a Best Director statue for Alejandro G. Iñárritu. DiCaprio pulls off the challenging role of a man lost in the wilderness, clashing with a monstrous bear, surviving the elements and more. Being on streaming helps you handle the long run time, yet DiCaprio’s performance alone makes this one wild adventure at home.

Get ready for the 50th anniversary of this horror classic by watching it on Freevee. Sure, there have been scores of sequels, remakes and retcons, but the original is still shockingly horrifying. Leatherface is no joke but a serious threat threatening these poor travelers and the moment he first ignites the chainsaw makes you jump. Another case of the original is always the best bet in this horror masterpiece.

Any movie boasting Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Ed Harris, Kevin Spacey, and Alan Arkin is bound to be enthralling. As salesmen facing a “sell or walk” deadline, they bicker, fight, and double-cross each other in a desperate attempt to get ahead. Alec Baldwin steals the film with his famous “always be closing” cameo, yet it’s still a showcase of how a movie of just guys talking can outdo any action thriller.

John Carpenter and Kurt Russell joined forces for what became a legendary action film. Set in a “future” America that’s become a hellhole, the President’s plane is shot down and crashes in New York City, which is now one massive prison. The only man insane enough to break in there is Snake Plissken (Russell), who must survive a brutal criminal gang landscape. The joy is realizing Snake is the toughest of the lot and Russell’s hard-edged performance helps make this a true joy.

Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn are expertly matched in Robert Zemecikis’ fun black comedy. They’re aging actresses who end up gaining a potion from Isabella Rossellini that gives them eternal youth. Emphasis on the “eternal” part as even a broken neck and a blown-out torso can’t kill them as they war with each other. Bruce Willis plays against type as the sad sack husband caught between the women as their wicked antics climax in a dark finale that’s still good, thanks to the actresses.
